Position Title: Hardware Engineer III

Location: Redmond WA

Anticipated Start Date: 7/20/2025

Expected Duration: 12 Months

Job Type: Contract (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY)

Pay Range: $80 - $90/HR

Job Title: Hardware Engineer III

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Redmond WA

Summary:

Software or Hardware Engineer with 5+ years of experience and a strong firmware and data analytics background, coupled with hands-on hardware/prototype development experience. Must be familiar with common programming languages and commands.

Scope of Work and Deliverables:

Key Responsibilities:

Operating optical HW prototypes (including PCB boards, electrical flexes, cameras, LEDs).

Operating on existing SW tools (running command line scripts and GUI, familiarity with on-demand server).

Basic SW/HW troubleshooting skills (basic understanding of command line scripts, practices like restarting HW, etc.).

Train moderators on how to use prototype devices.

Ability to drive to and from Client Campus to vendor sites for weekly checks on prototype devices.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience.
• Strong firmware and data analytics background.
• Hardware/prototype development background.
• Familiar with common program languages and command line operations.
• Software or Electrical Engineering degree is a must.

Top 3 Must-Have HARD Skills:

Must have strong software skills.

Operating hardware prototypes (EE background is great).

Software or Electrical Engineer degree is a must.

Note: Not looking for someone super or over-qualified for this role as they will likely not be a good fit.

Good to Have Skills:

• Hardware prototyping engineering background would be perfect.
• Hardware Test Engineer background would be good.
• Mechanical Test Engineer would likely not be a good fit.
