BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated SMAX Administrator_AMS/IMS Job for a Remote opportunity in United States Location!

Position Title: SMAX Administrator_AMS/IMS

Location: Remote

Anticipated Start Date: February

Expected Duration: 10+ months (with possibility of extension or conversion)

Job Type: Contract, 40 HRS WEEKLY, Onsite

Pay Range: $60/hr. - $64.28/hr.

Job Description:

Primary job duties/responsibilities:

  • The Service Management Automation X (SMAX) Administrator is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the SMAX platform to ensure it supports an organization's IT service management (ITSM) needs effectively.

    Roles: -

    1. Oversee the configuration and upkeep of the SMAX system to ensure its functionality aligns with business needs. 2. Work with stakeholders to understand their ITSM requirements and translate them into functional configurations in SMAX. 3. Ensure SMAX processes are streamlined, automated, and aligned with ITIL or organizational standards. 4. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SMAX-related issues to end-users or IT staff. 5. Manage updates, patches, and upgrades to the SMAX platform, ensuring minimal disruption to users.

    Responsibilities: -

  • Set up and configure SMAX modules (e.g., incident, problem, change, asset, and request management).
  • Customize forms, workflows, and automation rules to meet organizational requirements.
  • Create and maintain service offerings in the SMAX Catalog.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and access controls.
  • Train and onboard users, ensuring they understand how to use the platform effectively.
  • Integrate SMAX with other IT tools (e.g., monitoring tools, CMDBs, and email systems).
  • Ensure seamless data flow between SMAX and other enterprise applications.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve any operational issues.
  • Perform regular backups and ensure disaster recovery measures are in place.
  • Keep SMAX up to date with the latest patches and features.
  • Create custom reports and dashboards to track KPIs and SLA performance.
  • Analyse usage data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Address issues related to system performance or configurations.
  • Collaborate with vendors or support teams to resolve escalated problems.
  • Ensure the platform complies with IT governance and security policies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Gather feedback from users to identify pain points or enhancement opportunities.
  • Proactively explore new SMAX features to leverage improved capabilities.
  • Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business stakeholders to align SMAX with organizational goals.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve IT service delivery.

Education is needed for this position. As per the standard norms, we need people that have hands-on knowledge of SMAX
