Job Description
We are seeking an Aerospace Production Certification Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in delivering technical aerospace instruction across electrical, mechanical, sealing, and EHS domains and a proven ability to design and deliver hands-on training that improves workforce capability and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver classroom and shop-floor instruction for aerospace production and certification topics.
- Assess learner skills, provide coaching, and evaluate proficiency against standards.
- Maintain training materials, curricula, and records in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
- Support safety and quality compliance during hands-on labs and functional tests.
Instructional Focus Areas:
- Electrical Instructor: aircraft electrical installations and assembly, functional test troubleshooting, crimping, soldering, and basic mechanical skills.
- Aerospace Mechanical Skills Instructor: electrical installations, bonding and grounding, aircraft assembly, heavy structure drilling and/or maintenance, blueprints and production standards, functional test, and aircraft systems familiarization and troubleshooting.
- Aerospace Seal Instructor: aircraft sealant application, component preparation, cleaning, and sealing processes.
- Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Instructor: confined space, lockout/tagout/tryout (LOTTO), DOT, and fall protection.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong technical background with ability to instruct aerospace production topics.
- Hands-on proficiency in one or more focus areas: electrical install and test, mechanical assembly and drilling, sealant application, or EHS programs.
- Ability to read blueprints and apply production standards and procedures.
- Clear communication and classroom management skills with safety-first mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience training in an aerospace production or MRO environment.
- Experience supporting certification or qualification programs. Military aviation training experience is valued.
Schedule, Location, and Logistics:
- Hours: 30-40 hours per week. Expected approximately 32 hours per week. Overtime may occur based on event schedules.
- Primary locations: Renton, WA or Everett, WA. Additional events may occur in Seattle, Auburn, and Frederickson, WA and are subject to change.
- Mileage: preset reimbursement for qualifying commutes beyond the closest work location.
Work Environment & Requirements:
- Culture: professional. Interview attire: business casual. Onsite dress code: business casual.
- Physical: ability to stand while teaching for most of the day and facilitate hands-on activities.
- Background: Basic Package. Drug screen: 8-panel standard mandatory.
- US persons status is required per policy.
