Bcforward is currently seeking highly motivated Software Development Engineer 3 for an opportunity in Remote.

Position Title: Software Development Engineer 3

Location: Hybrid

Pay Range $60

Job Description:

Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Expand and maintain data validation systems
• Implement data validation telemetry
• Improve validation performance
• Add new validators and improve content creator workflows
• Engine stability and maintenance
• Integrate Unreal Engine service releases, assist with major upgrades.
• Investigate and fix issues arising from Unreal upgrade integrations
• Monitor daily test automation results and investigate failures
• Assess ownership of test failures and fix or hand off where appropriate
• Improve and expand engine test coverage
• Implement Unreal editor and automation telemetry

Candidate Requirements

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in C++.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience with Unreal Engine development

3. Experience writing efficient and effective unit tests

4. Minimum 3 Experience unreal engine upgrades

Education/Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in C++.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Unreal Engine development, bonus for experience with data validation and Gauntlet automation.
• Proficiency in writing efficient and effective unit tests.
• Experience using data and observability solutions to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for automation and build health.
• Experience with Perforce source control system.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, e.g. Jenkins, ADO Knowledge of software development best practices, including agile methodologies and continuous integration and deployment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis of critical problems.
• Outstanding communication and writing skills, including ability to ask questions or share information with clarity and brevity in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with Jira work item tracking. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
