Job Description
We are seeking a Logistics Technician II (Stockroom) to join our Commercial Aircraft Group. The role reports to the Inventory Control and Stockroom Lead and follows an onsite first shift schedule of 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in material handling, logistics operations, and stockroom control and a proven ability to execute material delivery, kitting, receiving, stocking, and packaging to meet daily production and repair targets.
Responsibilities:
- Perform physical and transactional processes supporting production, repair, development, and MRO requirements.
- Execute material delivery, kit pull, material stocking, receiving, and packaging.
- Receive, package, count, and locate parts accurately and timely.
- Develop working knowledge of internal business systems and related software applications.
- Prioritize daily activities to process received hardware and meet targets.
- Communicate with shop leads and repair operations to ensure schedule adherence.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and customer service representatives.
- Lift and bend frequently during hardware processing, using cranes and lift carts for heavy articles.
- Handle emergencies and coordinate evacuations as required.
- Answer incoming calls and coordinate communication to associates on the shift.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred, or demonstrated ability to follow verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English and perform basic arithmetic.
- At least 3 years of material handling or logistics experience.
- Valid New York State Driver's License.
- Ability to use stockroom and shipping tools, and to learn internal business systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with MRO processes and kitting best practices.
