Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Starburst DevOps/Admin to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Starburst platform installation, configuration, and administration on OpenShift/Kubernetes, and a proven ability to maintain stable production environments, resolve complex incidents, and drive platform best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure Starburst across production and lower environments.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute platform maintenance, disaster recovery, and software release activities.
• Serve as L3+ escalation for platform issues, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Configure and tune environments for performance, reliability, and security.
• Perform capacity and stability monitoring, and assist with metrics collection and reporting.
• Define, review, document, and communicate standards and best practices for the shared platform.
• Configure connectivity for Starburst, including JDBC and data source integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with Starburst software installation and configuration.
• Working knowledge of OpenShift and Kubernetes, including containerized deployments.
• Proven troubleshooting and incident resolution skills at L3 or higher.
• Ability to analyze and communicate root cause and remediation steps clearly.
• Familiarity with Starburst security model and best practices.
• Experience with connectivity configuration for Starburst and SQL query tuning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• JDBC connectivity setup and data source integration patterns.
• Background with Hadoop ecosystems.
