BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Computer Programmer/Developer for an opportunity in REMOTE

Position Title: C Programmer/Developer

Location: REMOTE

Anticipated Start Date: 03/24/2025.

Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.

Expected Duration: 28+ Months Contract with Strong Possibility of Extension.

Job Type: [Contract (40 hours weekly)], [Remote]

Pay Range: $35/hr. - $37.31/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Summary:

Codes, tests, and debugs computer programs. Analyzes, designs, and writes specifications for basic programs. Assists in identifying and resolving product problems with specific programs. Creates appropriate technical documentation. Gathers information from the system and performs data analysis.

Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project/Assignment:

• MUST have coding experience - read, investigate, debugging, etc. Not looking for candidates that have just been exposed to it.

Batch resources:

• 3-5 years of applications development and programming experience in batch UNIX/LINUX C programming.
• Experience with SQL (MS SQL Server)

Any experience with any of the following:

• Java
• Python
• Good analytical skills
• XML
• • object-oriented programming.
• JUnit and Test-Driven Development
• Knowledge of JPA / Eclipse Link
• Knowledge of JAXB / XML
• Java 7 threading - Executors and Executor Service
• Oracle DB and Apache Derby
• Eclipse IDE
• Microsoft Azure DevOps
• GIT

What would automatically disqualify a candidate for consideration?

• Not having true experience in UNIX/LINUX C programming
