To ensure that we comply fully with these rules, regulations and standards it is vital that our Compliance Department have appropriate applications in place to allow them to monitor our trading activity in the many asset classes that we trade in across the many different jurisdictions.
The Compliance Technology team is responsible for delivering solutions that satisfy the many requirements necessary to ensure compliance with these rules. We are a global team with team members based in America, Europe and Asia.
All of our projects and initiatives require a combination of innovative technology solutions and a close partnership with the Compliance teams to ensure a full understanding of their requirements.
A position now exists within the team for an experienced technical business analyst to work on key initiatives for our Compliance users in EMEA, Asia and America.
This challenging role will provide an excellent opportunity to undertake full life cycle tasks in a fast paced and evolving technology environment.
This role requires a strong background in Global Markets as well as a thorough understanding of complex equity products and their decompositions.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self motivated, technology professional with at least 5 year's post qualification experience and a proven ability to work on their own initiative in a fast paced environment with attention to detail.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Understand all necessary business requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory reporting rules.
- Perform business analysis and define technical requirements.
- Produce functional designs and specifications across system for Large Shareholders Reporting, Short Selling Reporting, Take-Over Panel Reporting and Issuer Requests.
- Actively participate in and support the end-to-end phases of the software development cycle.
- Work closely with product owners and all other project team members maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accountability in an Agile delivery methodology
- Extensive experience in a business analysis function, with expertise working with different technologies and Lines of Business areas.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and analysis and translating business requirements into solution design proposals utilizing modern UI/UX design principles (Responsive Design, etc).
- Extensive years' experience of Global Markets, financial products (specifically Equity, Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, etc.) and how they are structured.
- Strong communication skills and ability to drive dialog with business stakeholders globally
- Strong data analysis skills and ability to present findings to Business users appropriately.
- Proficiency and experience in using SQL for data querying and analysis in large, complex database systems.
- Strong experience in developing test cases and performing testing as part of various phases/cycles, e.g. QA, UAT , System Integration Testing including interpreting testing results from modern testing tools (such as Litmus).
- Domain knowledge in Regulatory Disclosure reporting such as Equity Aggregation, Large Shareholders Reporting, Short Selling Reporting, Take-Over Panel, Issuer Requests
- Strong experience working in an Agile Scrum methodology
