Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical R&D Technician to join our dynamic HPE Aruba Networking lab team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in prototype build, rework, and test of electrical systems and components and a proven ability to execute environmental and regulatory tests and support new product development outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Design, construct, rework, and test prototype equipment for electrical systems and components per engineering specifications.
• Rework and repair SMT PCAs using Metcal and air pencil tools.
• Set up, run, and monitor environmental and regulatory system tests.
• Develop basic test plans and document results.
• Improve technician processes and techniques for efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with co-located and remote engineering teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, printouts, and hardware specifications.
• Strong electrical and mechanical rework skills, including SMT soldering.
• Hands-on experience with voltmeters, oscilloscopes, pattern generators, and logic analyzers.
• Competence to set up test equipment and measure electrical signals.
• Self-initiative and ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Problem-solving skills with sound technical judgment.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Windows-based PCs.
• Experience level: At least 4 years in relevant technician roles.

Preferred Skills:

• Ability to set up network equipment.
• Knowledge of environmental and regulatory testing practices.

Additional Details

• Shift: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday. No overtime required.
• Language: English required.
