BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated SHE Technician for an opportunity in Johnston, IA 50131!

Position Title: SHE Technician

Location: Johnston, IA 50131

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 12 Months of contract

Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00/hr.

Job Description:

Under direct supervision and within established procedures, general clerical and administrative support to safety, health, and environmental activities. May collect field data and/or maintain/operate safety equipment in the field.

Required Skills:

Perform basic computer skills such as data entry.

Be on your feet, walking for most of the day.

Perform routine lifts of 20-30 lbs. with occasional lifts up to 50 lbs.

Push/pull carts with materials.

Be comfortable working with chemicals and within a laboratory environment.

Preferred Skills:

1+ years of hazardous waste handling experience is a plus.

1+ years of chemical or laboratory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

Support EHS&S team with permits, inspections, documentation, and calibration or certification of equipment using established processes/procedures.

Assist in characterization, collection, transport, and creating profiles of regulated and non-regulated hazardous waste.

Assist with the final preparation and approval of all projects before shipment in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company policies;

Ensures drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance our company's policies and procedure.
