Duration: Contract to hire- 9 months

Pay Range: $25/hr $28/hr (W2)

Work Schedule: Onsite, 5 days/week; flex shift 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.; overtime volume-driven, often in summer months

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist within Commercial Banking Wholesale Lending Services to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in commercial lending, legal document review, and analytical quality control and a proven ability to evaluate proposal data against supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with risk policies.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality reviews across key credit processes with a focus on credit proposals for new and existing facilities.
  • Analyze facility setups in iCRD to confirm alignment with supporting documentation and proposal data.
  • Identify and report inconsistencies between documentation and entries in credit risk systems.
  • Ensure proper controls are in place and updated to minimize operating risk; manage production queues, exception reports, and KPIs.
  • Engage technology partners to drive database functionality and stability improvements.
  • Build effective relationships with Operations, Credit, Control, and Technology partners.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports for control, audit, and business partners as requested; research and synthesize data for projects.
  • Assist with implementation of CORE and participate in initiatives to improve the WLS quality environment.
  • Represent the QC team in internal working groups and organizational initiatives.
  • Interpret credit approval requirements relative to JPMC Risk Policies and apply them consistently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of commercial lending or home lending experience, including loan processing or support operations.
  • Experience reviewing legal documents, contracts, and credit agreements.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of credit products such as revolving lines, term loans, commercial cards, and letters of credit.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and handle multiple tasks under shifting deadlines.
  • Effective oral and written communication; collaborative team orientation with integrity and objectivity.
  • Education: Associate degree or high school diploma with equivalent of 2 years of financial experience; graduates welcome with relevant lending internship experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Financial services background in regulatory, compliance, audit, or accounting control.
  • Familiarity with iCRD, Party Central, I-Vault, DealWorks, and CRRT; intermediate Excel and Word; Access a plus.
  • Experience reading and interpreting loan and compliance documentation.
  • Experience managing production queues, exceptions, and KPI reporting.
