Job Description

We are seeking a Wireless System Validation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in 5G NR and LTE-A cellular system validation and a proven ability to drive end-to-end modem performance qualification and optimization aligned with 3GPP and carrier requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Define, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans across 5G NR (FR1/FR2), LTE-A, and UMTS.
• Perform deep protocol stack log analysis across L1, MAC, RLC, RRC, and NAS to identify and root-cause signaling failures, handover issues, and throughput drops.
• Benchmark key KPIs including RSRP, SINR, BLER, and peak throughput under fading, interference, and mobility scenarios.
• Design and maintain scalable Python-based test automation frameworks for lab and regression environments.
• Collaborate with Firmware, Hardware, and System teams to debug complex system-level issues.
• Operate and configure cellular network emulators and RF test equipment for signaling and non-signaling tests.

Tools & Software Environment:

• Network Emulators: Keysight UXM, Rohde & Schwarz CMW500/CMX500, Anritsu MT8000A
• Diagnostics: Qualcomm QXDM/QCAT
• Automation & Data: Python (PyTest), Git
• RF Analysis: Keysight 89600 VSA, Tektronix Spectrum Analyzers

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years as a system validation engineer focused on cellular modem performance.
• Education: B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Deep knowledge of 5G NR (SA/NSA) and LTE-A, including CA, MIMO, beamforming, and VoLTE/VoWiFi.
• Strong understanding of 3GPP protocols and device-to-network registration and call flows.
• Hands-on RF testing with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and VNAs.
• Proficiency in Python for test scripting and data analysis.
• Experience with QXDM, QCAT, Wireshark, or similar logging tools.

Preferred Skills:

• Background in field testing, drive testing, or IOT with vendors such as Ericsson, Nokia, or Samsung.
• Knowledge of RF front-end components including PA, LNA, switches, and filters and their system impact.
