Job Description
We are seeking a Program Manager - V to lead a high-visibility compensation initiative. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in management consulting, program and project management, stakeholder engagement, and requirements gathering and a proven ability to drive cross-functional alignment, track delivery, and execute within an evolving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Build, own, and maintain the end-to-end project plan, including tasks, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
- Schedule and lead recurring meetings. Prepare agendas, drive discussions, assign action items, and follow through on deliverables.
- Partner with HR, Engineering, Compensation, Operations, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines.
- Facilitate requirements sessions and document business and technical needs, process flows, decision logs, and status reports.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve issues by coordinating with appropriate teams and tracking mitigations.
- Track and report progress against plan. Flag risks early and drive corrective actions.
- Support testing, readiness, and change management activities. Ensure alignment with compensation processes and operational timelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Management consulting background from a Big 4 or major consulting firm.
- Project and program management in a SaaS or technology environment.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management.
- Requirements gathering and documentation with clear traceability.
- Basic understanding of end-to-end compensation processes.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and driving outcomes.
- Experience level: 3-8 years. Under 3 years would be underqualified. Over 8 years may be considered overqualified.
Preferred Skills:
- M&A experience and cross-collaboration across diverse teams.
Teachable Skills:
- Compensation structure fundamentals.
- End-to-end compensation systems and processes.
Work Location & Schedule:
- Onsite in Toronto, ON. Hybrid schedule with 2 days per week onsite.
- Time zone: EST.
Interview Process:
- 2-3 rounds. May include an assignment.
- Timeline: interviewing soon.
Typical Day:
- Schedule and lead project meetings, drive agendas, and track actions.
- Engage the right team members as issues arise and coordinate resolutions.
- Update the project plan, report progress, and manage risks and dependencies.
