Position Title: Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer

Pay Range: [$47.29] to [$50.34]

Job Description:

Title: Mainframe Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Plano, TX

Duration: 2-6 months contract

Job Description:

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation, and delivery.
• Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with clear communication
• Ability to collaborate with different roles to achieve common goals
• Hands-on experience performing CICS systems programming and problem resolution in a mainframe z/OS sysplexed operating system environment with "Intermediate level" knowledge and understanding of both CICS and OEM products and how they interact. Ability to read CICS dumps and traces is a plus.
• Thinks creatively to deliver solutions through continuous improvement
• Knowledgeable across CICS Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Design (compliance, security), Connectivity (planning, securing)
• Understanding in the following platform products and features within z/Series CICS: CICS Transaction Server, CICS Plex System Manager(CPSM, WUI) , VSAM RLS, CICS Webservices(CWS, Sockets, IPIC, TCPIP), CICS Security(Keyring, Certificates, TLS, resource access, ACF2, RACF), USS (Unix Systems Services), CICS connectivity (LU6.2, MRO, ISC, CWS, Sockets, TCPIP, EXCI)
• Knowledge of these OEM products: CAFC, SYSII, Mainview, Xpediter, Abend-aid/FX
• Knowledge of SYSPLEX and CICSPLEX design, architecture, support.
