Position Title: Business Analyst

Location: Minneapolis, MN!

Anticipated Start Date: 5/1/2025.

Expected Duration: 12 Months

Job Type: Contract, Remote

Salary Range: $45/hr - $55/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support application and project teams in the analysis, documentation, and validation of business requirements for application enhancements. This includes both internally developed and third-party software systems. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between technical and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment throughout the Software Development Lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on ITIL service and knowledge management best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear and actionable requirements for application development and process improvement projects.
• Act as a liaison between IT teams and business units to ensure mutual understanding of needs, expectations, and deliverables.
• Participate in and support project activities including requirements documentation, development, testing, education, communication, and implementation.
• Support change management and governance practices related to application releases.
• Review and contribute to test plans to ensure coverage of all requirements.
• Develop and maintain current/future state process documentation and ensure traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate meetings and status updates, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and leadership.
• Promote the use of business analysis methods and tools, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Support advancement of the Business Analyst function across teams and mentor others in business analysis tools and techniques.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED and 4+ years of business analyst training/certification and experience
• OR a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of business analyst training/certification and experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Microsoft Visio, Lucid chart, and project/service management tools
• Understanding of business analysis methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
• Experience in large, complex business transformations and process changes
• Strong understanding of healthcare information systems and terminology
• Proven ability to manage requirements throughout the lifecycle of a product
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey insights to cross-functional teams and leadership

Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in Business Analysis, Agile, and/or Project Management

Additional Information:

• Equipment and necessary software will be provided.
• This is a remote position, but may require up to two onsite visits per year.
• No on-call hours required.
