Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in UI and database test automation, complex SQL, Unix, and Agile delivery and a proven ability to design, execute, and automate comprehensive test suites that ensure high-quality releases.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases from functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to test planning and build test cases for sprint stories in Scrum environments.
• Automate UI and database test cases using tools such as Selenium or Tosca.
• Design, prepare, and manage test data to support execution.
• Execute manual and automated tests and record results with clear evidence.
• Test new and existing features, perform basic debugging at unit and integration levels, and report defects.
• Collaborate with development for defect triage and resolution.
• Execute functional, integration, and regression testing across releases.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation scripts and frameworks.
• Own end-to-end testing for assigned features and components.
• Detect, track, and retest software defects and inconsistencies; propose timely solutions.
• Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with proper documentation.
• Ensure adherence to standards and processes within projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related field.
• 6+ years of total experience, including 5+ years in software testing.
• Hands-on automation using Selenium or Tosca for UI and database validation.
• Expertise testing UI and database changes with strong SQL skills.
• Proficiency writing complex SQL queries with joins; Oracle experience required.
• Experience with ETL testing and database-centric validations.
• Working knowledge of Unix, including ability to write and execute commands.
• Experience scheduling and monitoring jobs with Autosys.
• Familiarity with test management tools such as qTest or Octane.
• Knowledge of project testing phases including SIT and UAT.
• Agile/Scrum experience with collaborative defect triaging.
• Strong documentation and troubleshooting abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, work self-directed, and perform in large teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the banking domain.
• Prior work with globally distributed teams.
• Background with quality governance, standards, and process improvement.
