BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated RM - Cloud Data Engineer - FVS for a Hybrid opportunity in Chicago, IL!

Position Title: RM - Cloud Data Engineer - FVS

Location: Chicago, IL! Hybrid

Anticipated Start Date: 01/27/2025

Expected Duration: 6+ Months with Potential Extension or can be converted to a fulltime employment.

Job Type: Contract (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY), [CONTRACT], [HYBRID]

Pay Range: $55/HR. to $60.71/HR.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

Must-Have skills:

1) Data Engineering

2) Data architecture principles

3) Google Bigquery

- Years of experience required for each skill. 12+, 8+, 3+ years

Primary job duties/responsibilities:

• Understands client's functional and technical requirements
• Design technical solutions
• Design Data Lake tables/attributes to map data from Guidewire application
• Act as a liaison b/w client and dev team
• Lead and deliver clients' deliverables
• Provide regular updates to the client
• Daily Connect with offshore dev team

Nice-to-have skills:

1. GCP - Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification

2. Database Architecture

3. Data modelling

- What type of education is needed for this position? Bachelor education and work experience

- Will the client pay for travel and expenses? Yes, if travel is required

- Is industry experience needed for this role and why? Commercial Insurance domain knowledge and experience preferred as this person will be part of functional and solution discussions
