BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer

for an opportunity at Eagan, MN-Location!

Position Title: Software Engineer

Location: Eagan, MN

Anticipated Start Date: 1/27/2025

Expected Duration: 6+ Months

Job Type: Full Time (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY) - CONTRACT - Remote

Pay Range: $55/hr - $65/hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Key responsibilities:
Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native to support iOS and Android devices.

• Build back-end services using Java (Kotlin) with frameworks such as Spring Boot, ORM (JPA/Hibernate), and FHIR HAPI engine.

• Design and integrate RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture.

• Implement containerized solutions with a strong understanding of containerization concepts.

• Contribute to infrastructure-as-code initiatives, preferably using Terraform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Work with GCP resources such as Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, and others.

• Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, platform, and solutions teams, to deliver high-quality applications.

• Ensure high-performance, availability, and scalability of distributed systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues using root cause analysis and data/system investigation.

• Support deployment automation/configuration management using tools like Azure Pipelines, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or CloudFormation.

• Maintain and document source code and development processes.

Skills & Qualifications:

What Experience Should You Have?

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience developing software applications or services in high-level programming languages such as Java, C#, C++, Go, or Python.

• Proficiency in React Native and mobile app development for iOS and Android.

• Hands-on experience with Java (Kotlin) development, including SpringBoot and ORM frameworks.

• Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization.

• Experience with GCP tools and infrastructure.

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and Agile methodologies.

• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

What are Some Nice To Haves?

• Experience in healthcare-related industries.

• Exposure to analytics, big data systems, or business intelligence products.

• Familiarity with modern application development frameworks and cloud environments (Google Cloud and Azure).

• Experience building and deploying highly available and scalable systems
