Position Title: Technical Program Manager Location: Houston, TX Anticipated Start Date: 17th-March-2025 Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Duration: 6+ months contract to permanent Job Type: [FULL TIME (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY), [CONTRACT], [Onsite] Pay Range: $50.00/hr - $54.00/hr Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Job Description:Job Description: Solutions Manager (Business & Technology Interface)This role requires expertise in product ownership, focusing on understanding business challenges, articulating problem definitions, defining solutions, and aligning with business and IT teams to develop and deploy products. While deep technical expertise is not required, a strong understanding of how technology works is essential. This role blends business acumen with technology and requires close collaboration with engineering teams. A background in product management is highly desirable, and experience in service-based businesses is a plus but not mandatory. Key Responsibilities:1. Conceptualize, Design, and Develop Innovative SolutionsSolution Innovation: Generate forward-thinking, user-centric solutions that address complex business challenges.Problem Identification: Proactively detect potential bottlenecks and inefficiencies, leveraging process mapping to create structured, scalable solutions.Design Understanding: Apply design thinking principles to ensure solutions are intuitive, effective, and aligned with user needs. 2. Work Closely with Internal Clients & StakeholdersStakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal business and IT teams to ensure solutions meet strategic needs.Process Mapping & Documentation: Document business processes, data flows, and system interactions to facilitate alignment and execution.Active Listening & Requirements Gathering: Capture and translate business requirements into actionable plans with a clear understanding of priorities and dependencies. 3. Develop & Drive Solutions for Key Business ProblemsStrategic Alignment: Ensure solutions align with business goals, operational processes, and IT capabilities.IT Collaboration: Act as a bridge between business and IT, ensuring clear communication of requirements and expectations.End-to-End Oversight: Own the solution lifecycle from ideation to deployment, ensuring thorough testing, validation, and adoption. 4. Understand Complexities & Draft Funding RequestsProcess Analysis & Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose streamlined approaches using process design and automation where applicable.Financial Justification: Work closely with finance teams to develop funding requests that articulate business value, ROI, and cost-benefit analysis.Risk & Impact Assessment: Conduct thorough risk analysis and devise mitigation strategies for proposed solutions. 5. Present to Management & Drive Decision-MakingExecutive Communication: Develop and deliver clear, compelling presentations for senior leadership, up to at least the director level.Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage data insights and process mapping to support business cases and influence strategic direction.Change Management: Advocate for and facilitate adoption of new solutions, ensuring smooth transition and stakeholder buy-in. Key Skills & Qualifications:Strong background in product ownership, product management, or business analysis.Experience with process mapping, workflow design, and business process optimization.Ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical requirements.Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and operations.Experience in designing intuitive and scalable solutions with a focus on user experience.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly for senior management audiences.Desire Qualifications: BPM certifications, 6 Sigma, Process Improvement, IPMA, Agile/SCRUM, etc. Experience : 7 yearsEducation : Masters in computer science or Bachelors in computer science or MBA etc.Benefits: BCforward offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits package including, but not limited to major medical, HSA, dental, vision, employer-provided group life, voluntary life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, and 401k.
