BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Sr Cloud Solutions Engineer for an opportunity at Eagan-MN Location!

Position Title: Sr Cloud Solutions Engineer

Location: Eagan, MN

Anticipated Start Date: 02/02/2026

Expected Duration: 6+ months

Job Type: Full Time (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY) - CONTRACT - Remote

Pay Range: $60/hr to $65/hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Key responsibilities:

Build, maintain, and support cloud environments, primarily AWS.
Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into cloud operations and automated solutions.
Assess cloud architecture and implement recommendations to improve performance, security, and cost efficiency.
Automate infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and configuration management using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, CLI, or ARM templates.
Implement and maintain security controls, governance processes, and compliance validations.
Support migration from on-premises systems to cloud-native services and optimize workloads for cost and performance.
Work with backup technologies, ideally Commvault, to enhance disaster recovery, scheduling, and automation processes.
Collaborate with international teams to ensure consistent cloud engineering practices and compliance with local regulations.
Partner with database, monitoring, and other infrastructure teams to optimize performance and reliability.
Stay up to date on AWS services and cloud industry best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years in an enterprise IT engineering role or as an IT developer/engineer with experience in:
Leading complex projects and managing multiple priorities across teams
Mentoring and navigating team conflicts
Core OS, data, middleware platforms, and enterprise database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, others)
Automation, cloud-native technology, and code promotion processes
AWS Cloud Practitioner certified and 2+ years working on AWS platform
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS
5+ years in enterprise IT engineering with DevOps and systems programming experience
Experience mentoring staff and providing technical guidance
Presentation and facilitation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Self-motivated and able to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
Top Requirements:
Experience with Commvault is highly preferred

Cloud engineering experience, primarily AWS

Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with multiple teams
