Location: 2 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46204
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr (W2)
Duration: 12 Months

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Vital Records - Data Quality team. This role involves data-driven policy work to enhance the quality of birth, death, and fetal death records. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders professionally and confidentially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to data providers to resolve data quality issues and outstanding records.
  • Analyze data error reports and identify validity-related concerns.
  • Research and compile information on program procedures, needs, and policies.
  • Perform daily data queries and analysis to ensure accuracy.
  • Respond to basic customer inquiries regarding data quality policies and procedures.
  • Review correspondence, determine appropriate actions, and compose replies.
  • Maintain current and historical program files in an organized manner.
  • Collect and analyze information for program reports.
  • Prepare and distribute training materials for Local Health Departments.
  • Assist with other program-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in program coordination.
  • General knowledge of program management and data-driven policies.
  • Understanding of applicable legislation, guidelines, and agency policies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to compile research-based reports.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work under deadlines and in collaborative team environments.
  • Professionalism and tact in interacting with agency personnel and the public.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Excel expertise (spreadsheets, reports, Pivot tables) - 4+ years.
  • Experience working with statistics/data and generating reports - 3+ years.
  • Experience taking meeting minutes/notes - 1+ year.
  • Customer service experience - 5+ years.
  • Strong data entry skills - 5+ years.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) - 5+ years.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with multi-professional agencies.
