BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated ColdFusion Developer for an opportunity in Minneapolis, MN!

Position Title: ColdFusion Developer

Location: Minneapolis, MN!

Anticipated Start Date: 3/17/2025.

Expected Duration: 3 Months (There is possibility of extension)

Job Type: Contract, Remote

Salary Range: $55/hr - $65/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description: Industry leader is looking for a skilled ColdFusion Developer to assist with the maintenance and enhancement of existing ColdFusion applications, as well as support the upgrade from ColdFusion 2021 to ColdFusion 2023. This role involves collaborating with our in-house ColdFusion developer to ensure the continued stability and performance of our applications. The position is fully remote but requires working hours aligned with Central Time (CT).

What Else Will You Do?

• Maintain and enhance existing ColdFusion applications to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
• Assist in the upgrade from ColdFusion 2021 to ColdFusion 2023, ensuring compatibility and stability throughout the transition.
• Collaborate with the in-house ColdFusion developer to provide support and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Utilize jQuery and Bootstrap for front-end enhancements and user interface improvements.
• Work within a Windows Server environment with IIS as the web server.

What Experience Should You Have?

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with ColdFusion development in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of ColdFusion 2021 and experience with ColdFusion version upgrades.
• Experience working in a Windows Server environment with IIS as the web server.
• Proficiency with jQuery and Bootstrap for front-end development.
• Familiarity with custom frameworks and ability to adapt to existing application structures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment.

What Are Some Nice to Haves?

• Experience with ColdFusion 2023 or knowledge of the upgrade process from CF 2021 to CF 2023.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience in an Agile development environment.

Work Environment:

• This position is fully remote, but candidates must be available to work 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST to align with the in-house ColdFusion developer's schedule.
• Collaboration and communication will primarily be conducted through virtual meetings and digital communication tools.
