Job Description

We are seeking a Transition Program Manager to join our team. The candidate will manage resources for the design, architecture, and sale of Transition and Transformation plans during the Pursuit phase, including sales support, contract negotiation, due diligence, and planning. The role is accountable for the successful transition of operational responsibility for in-scope IT services from the customer to the company and for the transformation of the transitioned environment to improve service levels and reduce operating costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and ensure use of appropriate TTM processes per the SOW, including reporting, risk management, lessons learned, quality, escalation, and communications.
  • Manage the Transition program across company functions (Managed Services, HR, Procurement) and coordinate PMO internal and external project activities.
  • Lead the Transition/Transformation team during Pursuit and Transition/Transformation phases.
  • Manage and support Transition Managers in execution of project activities.
  • Select and assign Project Managers for Technical Towers, HR, Finance and Administration, Assets, third-party contracts, and Governance.
  • Assist in acquiring staff and material resources for Transition/Transformation programs and projects.
  • Ensure all Transition/Transformation project plans align and integrate with the overall deal project plan and customer plans.
  • Lead and manage execution of project plans.
  • Oversee financial management for Transition/Transformation activities, including setting budgets and approving forecasts; collect cost data from Tower Leads.
  • Rebaseline T1/T2 budgets post 90-day review or adjust cost and budget data and assess impacts with Finance, Client Manager, and Account Delivery Manager to meet financial commitments.
  • Support Project Managers in defining scope, estimates, schedules, and risks for Transition/Transformation projects.
  • Lead internal improvement programs to evolve methodology maturity within Strategic Outsourcing; act as an authority in Transition/Transformation.
  • Coach and mentor team members and peers.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10+ years managing IT Transition implementation projects and 10+ years industry experience.
  • 15+ years of project management experience with advanced program management capability for global, complex initiatives.
  • PMP certification required; undergraduate degree in Business, Computer Science, IT/IS, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of ITIL or ITSM and expert knowledge of TTM.
  • Strong risk management, Transition rollout, and financial management skills for Transition/Transformation projects.
  • Proven ability to manage variable workforces and implement policies and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems, focus on customers, and deliver effective presentations.
  • Ability to influence contract content and lead strategic discussions at CIO and Board levels.
  • Deep understanding of business processes and managed services financial controls and fundamentals.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing major programs within Strategic Outsourcing environments.
  • Experience with PMO governance across Technical Towers, HR, Finance, assets, and third-party contracts.
