Position Title: SAP Security Consultant (SAP, DB, OS)

Location: Remote

Expected Duration: 6+ Months Contract with possibility of fulltime

Job Type: [Contract (40 hours weekly)], [Remote]

Pay Range: $45/hr. - $65/hr. on W2

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced SAP Security Expert to design, implement, and manage security controls across SAP applications, underlying databases, and operating systems. The ideal candidate will ensure that all systems are protected from unauthorized access, comply with regulatory requirements, and align with organizational security policies.

• Administer and manage SAP user roles, authorizations, and access controls.
• Ensure security configuration and monitoring of SAP environments, including ECC, S/4HANA, and other SAP modules.
• Implement and maintain database and OS-level security policies to protect data and infrastructure supporting SAP systems.
• Conduct security assessments, audits, and compliance checks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SAP Basis, IT Infrastructure, and Compliance to maintain security across layers.
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for security issues.
• Ensure proper documentation of security procedures and controls.
• Stay updated on emerging SAP security threats, patches, and best practices.

• Proven experience in SAP Security administration, including role design and user provisioning.
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture, database security (HANA, Oracle, SQL), and operating system security (Linux, Windows, Unix).
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOX, GDPR, or ISO 27001.
• Experience working with security audits, risk assessments, and remediation planning.
• Knowledge of SAP GRC and segregation of duties is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

• SAP or security-related certifications (e.g., SAP Security, CISA, CISSP).
• Experience with cloud-based SAP deployments.
• Exposure to identity and access management and security monitoring tools.
