- Gain familiarity with key aspects of the application, including reports, parameters, claims management, intake services, carrier/client interfaces, and vendor/business partner integrations.
- Analyze user needs and assist in designing specifications to meet business requirements.
- Develop, modify, and maintain software in accordance with specified requirements and industry regulations.
- Perform testing and debugging of software solutions; support testing efforts for other team members.
- Create and maintain documentation for new and existing software solutions.
- Investigate escalated issues from support staff and apply necessary corrections to data and/or software.
- Support the professional growth of junior developers by providing guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Follow departmental standards and best practices for software design and development.
- Ensure the highest level of customer service in all interactions.
- Stay updated with advancements in software development technologies and best practices.

- 8+ years of experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
- Expertise in Oracle server-side programming, including SQL, SQL*Plus, PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Cursors, Triggers, Views, Materialized Views, Temporary Tables, Object-Oriented PL/SQL Programming, Jobs, Schedulers, PL/SQL Web Services, Java Stored Procedures, and Oracle AQ.
- Hands-on experience in XML generation within PL/SQL components.
- Strong skills in data analysis, data modeling, development, testing, and documentation.
- Proficient in automating jobs using UNIX Shell scripts to execute SQL files within a directory via SQL*Plus.
- Experienced in writing Cursors, User-Defined Object Types, Records, and Tables in PL/SQL programming for generating worksheets, arrays, and queues.
- Strong expertise in exception handling-extensively debugging PL/SQL code, DDL, DML, and displaying error messages in applications.
- Experience in creating Materialized Views and Indexes to optimize performance for summary tables, Autonomous Transactions, and coding Dynamic SQL Statements.
- Skilled in SQL tuning to enhance query performance by identifying key fields, optimizing table structures, and leveraging indexes.
- Good understanding of Oracle Explain Plan for query optimization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Support organizational quality programs and initiatives.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background check, is required for this position.
- At least 8+ years of experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
- Expertise in Oracle server-side programming, including:
- SQL, SQL*Plus, PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Cursors, Triggers, Views, and Materialized Views.
- Temporary tables, Object-Oriented PL/SQL Programming, Job Schedulers, PL/SQL Web Services, Java Stored Procedures, and Oracle AQ.
- SQL, SQL*Plus, PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Cursors, Triggers, Views, and Materialized Views.
- Experience in writing and maintaining PL/SQL Packages for data loads and stored procedures (Packages, Procedures, Functions, and Anonymous Blocks).
- Hands-on experience with:
- XML generation inside PL/SQL components.
- Data analysis, modeling, development, testing, and documentation.
