BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Information Security Engineer for a remote position.

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Pay Range: $55-$65/hr.

[JOB DESCRIPTION]

Summary

We are looking for a contract to hire IT Security Engineer to provide day-to-day and project related technical security support, system maintenance and security integrations of the network security infrastructure technology. A candidate must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and possess analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a remote eligible position for a candidate that initiates contact and demonstrates good collaboration and teamwork skills.

What Else Will You Do?

* Provide support activities, root cause analysis, and quality assurance of network security infrastructure.

* Support the installation, planning, and evaluation of Palo Alto network security technologies.

* Reviewing system and device logs from network security technologies in support of IT and business requirements.

* Support process, procedures, guidelines, standards for security capabilities and architecture, roadmaps and influence vendor selections for network security technology.

* Possess working knowledge of network communications and network security controls.

* Contribute to analyzing business strategy and user needs, translating to system requirements.

* Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations.

* Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

What Experience Should You Have?

4+ or more years of experience in an enterprise IT Security Engineering role including the following disciplines:

* Palo Alto technologies lifecycle, support, and implementation experience

* Managing Remote Access technologies o Strong understanding of modern networking.

* Leading projects to completion.

* Managing multiple priorities and working across multiple teams

* Mentoring others and navigating conflicts

* Understand security theories, principles, designs, standards, and industry best practices.

Additional Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security

* Security or technical certification

* Configuration and log analysis

* Authentication and authorization

* Reporting and metric generation
