Technical Writer
BC Forward is currently seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer for an opportunity in Alaska (Remote).
Position Title: Technical Writer
Location: Alaska - Remote
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 12 Months
Job Type: Full Time 40 Hours Contract, Remote
Pay Range: $24 to $25/Hr an hour on W2

Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled pharmacy benefits management experienced technical writer to create process and policy documents. In this position, you will create easy-to-understand user content and process documentation. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business area experts, Developers, and various client teams, to create and update documentation for a PBM implementation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with internal teams to understand and create technical operating process documents.
- Create strong content that fulfills client and company standards and audience goals
- Analyze current content and make improvements as necessary
- Coordinate with management personnel to ensure accuracy.
- Utilize companies standardized templates when applicable
- Develops, produces, and maintains a variety of complex business and user documents
- Ability to determine project requirements, perform complex writing, copy editing, technical editing and documentation design activities.
- Experience executing document quality assurance process to tailor documentation aligned with establish documentation standards and meet client expectations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Required Education and Other Credentials:
* Certification, formal training, experience or demonstrated competency in pharmacy benefits management operating policies and procedures
* Relevant experience with technical writing and previous PBM document development.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Minimum 2 years of pharmacy benefits management operations documentation experience is preferred
* Self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines with limited supervision
* Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with internal and external parties
* Must demonstrate strong editing & formatting experience with a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness
Other Duties may include:
* Facilitates the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
* Responsible for structuring knowledge repository of information, making sure the document libraries are properly organized and documents are stored.
* Organizes documents / table of contents / flow of information, in order to meet requirements and logic convey desired content.
* Performs QA on work of lower levels / editorial correction.
