BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated ITQ Technologist for an opportunity in Golden Valley, MN!Position Title: ITQ Technologist - 2nd ShiftLocation: Golden Valley, MN 55426Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 40 hours per week (Flexible schedule; overtime up to 4 hours before/after shift and occasional weekend support of 8-16 hours may be required)Pay Range: $21/hr on W2 Position Overview
Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Qualifications • Hands-on experience in processing, pilot plant, or manufacturing environments.
• Experience working in team-based manufacturing or technical environments.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and workplace safety standards.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and other software platforms.
• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coach and train others on technical processes.
• Comfortable operating equipment independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills across multiple levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to changing priorities. Preferred Qualifications • Prior experience in food manufacturing, pilot plant, or laboratory environments.
• Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or foodservice industries.
• Interest in food innovation, consumer trends, and packaging development. - Equipment Operation & Safety - Safely operate processing equipment and perform risk assessments to ensure compliance with food and human safety standards.
- • • Sanitation & Cleaning Verification - Lead sanitation activities, including inspection and verification of cleaning procedures and documentation.

• Trial Execution - Set up and run equipment for product trials with minimal supervision.
• Technical Capability Development - Build proficiency across multiple unit operations, processing systems, and technologies. - • • Maintenance & Controls Support - Provide technical support related to mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

• Training & Coaching - Train and coach team members on equipment operation and process procedures.
• Troubleshooting - Diagnose and resolve mechanical or technical issues in real time to minimize downtime.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with R&D, operations, and quality teams to deliver trial results and process improvements. - • • Material Handling - Lift, move, and transport ingredients or equipment up to 55 pounds consistently.
- Successful Trial Execution - Accurate and timely setup and operation of pilot plant trials.
- • • Sanitation Compliance - Documented cleaning verification and adherence to food safety standards.
- • • Equipment Reliability - Reduced downtime through real-time troubleshooting and maintenance support.
