Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in core Java, Spring ecosystem, big data technologies, and performance optimization, and a proven ability to deliver scalable, high-performing applications and data pipelines on strategic platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end Java applications supporting current and target processes.
• Partner with cross-functional Technology teams to implement target architecture and migrate to strategic platforms.
• Build and optimize data pipelines for real-time, streaming, batch, and API-based ingestion.
• Load, manage, and process large datasets in Hadoop and compute complex logic on Spark platforms.
• Profile and tune application and query performance, including memory optimizations.
• Contribute to UI development using modern Java UI frameworks as needed.
• Apply Agile practices to plan, develop, test, and deliver software increments.
• Mentor team members and promote engineering best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 9+ years of end-to-end Java application development.
• Strong Core Java, including multithreading, Collections API, JDBC, and Java profiling tools.
• Hands-on with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.
• Solid computer science fundamentals in design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Performance tuning for data-intensive applications and memory optimization expertise.
• Expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases, and data integration and transformation tools.
• Strong knowledge of big data ecosystems: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, or Flink.
• Experience discovering and ingesting real-time, streaming, batch, and API data sources.
• Ability to optimize data pipelines and queries for performance and scalability.
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve complex data engineering issues.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities in a senior engineering capacity.
• Excellent communication skills.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline from a reputed university.
• Background in enterprise stress testing and knowledge of credit, operational, and market risk.
• Experience with Hadoop or other distributed big data ecosystems.
• Knowledge of cloud or distributed computing.
• 5+ years in Java UI technologies such as HTML5, AngularJS, Backbone.js, or Bootstrap.
• Experience delivering software in an Agile environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Apache Flink or advanced Spark streaming use cases.
• Exposure to financial risk domains and enterprise-scale stress testing frameworks.
