BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst remote opportunity.

Pay Range: $28/hr. - $30/hr.

Summary:
The main function of a Data Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems.

Job Responsibilities:
* Work with senior management, technical and client teams to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategies
* Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions
* Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data ETL processes
* Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes
* Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications

Skills:
* Experience with database technologies
* Knowledge of the ETL process
* Knowledge of at least one scripting language
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Demonstrated history of success
* Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions

Education/Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
* 0-2 years applicable experience required

Candidate Requirements:
* Years of Experience Required: 2-3 overall years of experience in the field.
* Degrees or certifications required: N/A
* Disqualifiers: Gaps in employment history may rise as a red flag.
* Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain:
* Strong understanding of critical data and tools skills.
* Ability to clearly express their responsibilities, actions, and outcomes in previous roles.
* Experience with database technology, ETL processes, and tools like ADO and Power BI (Fabric).
* Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on meeting deadlines and quality of work, ability to communicate with the team daily and well.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience
1. Minimum 2-3 years' experience with database and database structures
2. Minimum 2-3 years' experience with Microsoft365 - Word, Excel, PowerPoint
3. Minimum 2-3 years' experience with ADO & PowerBI/Fabric
