Job Description
Our Commercial Aircraft Group seeks a Shipping/Logistics Technician II to support third shift operations onsite. You will report to the Process Manager and work 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. in East Aurora, New York. The role requires experience in material handling and logistics and the ability to execute physical and transactional processes to meet production and repair targets.
Responsibilities:
- Perform physical and transactional logistics operations for production, repair, development, and MRO needs.
- Execute material delivery, kit pull, material stocking, receiving, and packaging.
- Receive, package, count, and locate parts accurately in designated locations.
- Develop working knowledge of internal business systems and related software applications.
- Prioritize daily activities to process received hardware and meet shift targets.
- Communicate with shop leads and repair operations to align on schedules and requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and customer service representatives.
- Lift, bend, and handle hardware safely; utilize cranes and lift carts for heavy articles.
- Answer incoming calls and coordinate communication to all associates on the shift.
- Handle emergencies and coordinate evacuations per site procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred; otherwise, ability to follow verbal, written, and computer-based instructions in English.
- Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- At least 3 years of material handling or logistics experience.
- Valid New York State driver's license.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with enterprise resource planning or internal business systems.
- Experience in aerospace or MRO environments.
