Software Engineer IVBCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer IV for Onsite. Position Title: Software Engineer IV
Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)Anticipated Start Date: ASAPPlease note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 12 Months.Job Type: ContractPay Range: TBDPlease note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.). Looking for someone with prior experience working with data pipelines, data annotation pipelines, and automation for machine learning. Will work with a team supporting data ingested from a variety of devices through different paths into central infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in new languages, configuration systems and picking up new systems. The role will interact with the following Meta tools:

- WWW (a monolithic codebase that serves all traffic from Facebook and Messenger)
- JavaScript & HACK
- HACK (server side programming language)

Responsibilities
- Analyze, evaluate, design, develop, integrate, debug and test data analysis tools
- Build software, tools, infrastructure, documentation, and other systems that enable research scientists to analyze their data and iterate on their experiments
- Educate researchers and other team members on software engineering best practices, tips, and techniques
- Write clean readable code, debug complex problems that span systems, prioritize ruthlessly, and get things done with a high level of efficiency
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in the field of computer science or related field.
- 5+ years experience with C++, including C++11 (and up) features and principles.
- Experience shipping one or more products using standard software development toolsets such as source control and continuous integration systems
