- Develop and automate data pipelines, workflows, and integrations across different data sources and platforms.
- Architect, implement, and maintain data platforms using best practices and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, such as performance bottlenecks, data quality issues, and security vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and optimize platform performance, availability, and capacity using various tools and metrics.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and trends in the data platform domain and provide recommendations for improvement and innovation.
- Collaborate with other platform engineers, data engineers, data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand and deliver on their data platform needs and expectations.
- Promotion and enablement of new platform functionality aligning with developer and business stakeholder needs.
Requirements:
- A bachelors or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in platform engineering, data engineering, or a similar role, preferably in a cloud-based environment.
- Highly Proficient in Python, SQL, and other programming languages and frameworks used for data platform development and automation.
- Experience with cloud data warehouses, such as Snowflake, and their features, such as data sharing, data lake integration, and data governance.
- Experience with Azure DevOps including configuring and management of CI/CD Pipelines, Repos and optimizing collaboration through Boards
- Experience managing code and application releases through Octopus Deploy or similar technologies
- Experience with business intelligence tools and their features, including data visualization, dashboard creation, and report generation.
- Experience with data science tools and their features, such as data preparation, machine learning, and model deployment.
- Experience with data intelligence tools, and their features, such as data cataloging, data discovery, and data lineage.
- Knowledge of data platform architectures, design principles, and best practices, including platform as a product, self-service, and automation.
- Knowledge of data platform security, compliance, and governance standards and regulations including but not limited to GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
