Job Description

We are seeking a General Labor/Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team at Purina Animal Nutrition. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general industrial labor, powered industrial truck operation, and basic production tasks and a proven ability to work safely, follow instructions, and sustain productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general labor, housekeeping, and assigned production tasks.
• Operate a forklift and other powered industrial trucks after certification.
• Load, unload, move, and stage materials safely and accurately.
• Lift and handle materials up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Wear an N95 dust mask and follow all safety and PPE requirements, including steel-toe shoes.
• Work on feet for prolonged periods with bending, stooping, and twisting in dusty or dirty conditions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds and stand for full shifts.
• Ability to pass powered industrial truck training and operate a forklift safely.
• Basic math and counting skills; ability to read and follow written and oral instructions.
• Effective communication in one-on-one and group settings; ability to perform repetitive production activities.
• Knowledge of and compliance with safety guidelines; basic computer skills for occasional system use.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills:

• Recent experience in industrial, warehousing, or production environments.
• Prior certification on forklifts or other powered industrial trucks.

Schedule & Work Environment:

• Mon-Fri, 7 AM - 3 PM. Temporary assignment.
• Environment may include dust, noise, and varying temperatures. No confined space or elevated work above 8 feet.
• PPE: N95 dust mask as required, steel-toe shoes required.
