BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Cloud Platform Optimization Engineer Job for an Onsite opportunity in Jersey City, NJ / Plano, TX Location!

Position Title: Cloud Platform Optimization Engineer

Location: Jersey City, NJ / Plano, TX

Anticipated Start Date: February

Expected Duration: 9+ months (with possibility of extension or conversion)

Job Type: Contract, 40 HRS WEEKLY, Onsite

Pay Range: $45/hr. - $51.47/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

Primary job duties/responsibilities:

Requirements: -

• Intermediate proficiency in AWS Architecture is required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Databricks Platform is recommended.
• Additionally, intermediate proficiency in Snowflake Data Warehouse, Python, Terraform, and Continuous Integration Tools is suggested.
• Technical Delivery of AWS, Databricks, and Snowflake
• Pricing & Consumption Models (AWS, Databricks, Snowflake)
• FinOps & Cost Governance
• Platform-Specific Optimization Techniques
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
• Collaborate with development teams to enable the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable applications on the cloud.

* The work location will be Jersey City, NJ or Plano, TX.

* This role will be in office.

* The client will not pay for travel or expenses.

* Industry experience is not required for this role.

* A nice-to-have skill for this role is FinOps Optimization.

* There are chances for extension.

Must-have skills for this role:

1. AWS
2. Databricks / Snowflake
3. Terraform
