Job Description

We are seeking a Software Design Engineer to join our team supporting Windows audio system certification and Windows 11 release efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C++, Windows debugging, and large-scale systems and a proven ability to design, implement, test, and optimize complex software used in certification workflows and device driver validation.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain software for certification and validation scenarios.
• Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and build solutions that meet partner and program needs.
• Analyze enhancement requests, review specifications, and plan iterative improvements.
• Implement system software and customize features to support industry partner requirements.
• Author detailed software specifications and test plans aligned to release goals.
• Code new programs and tools, create test data, and execute unit tests.
• Refactor and update existing programs to new standards and quality bars.
• Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and deployment.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and drive defect resolution.
• Perform post-implementation validation and remediate issues discovered during testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5-7 years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of C++ programming experience with strong debugging on Windows.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with large systems design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and unit testing across new and legacy systems.
• Experience diagnosing problems and delivering resolutions in production-like environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Advanced debugging on Windows for audio, media, or device driver components.
• Experience with certification test development, validation tools, or partner enablement workflows.

Role Logistics

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
