Position Title: Care Engagement Specialist
Location: Remote Anticipated Start Date: ASAPExpected Duration: 3+ months of contractPotential to Extend: YesPay Rate: $23/ per hourPosition Summary:The Care Engagement Specialist plays a key role in supporting our organization's mission to promote better health outcomes by assisting members with their healthcare needs. This role involves outreach to members, educating them about available services, assisting with health screenings, and scheduling preventive care appointments. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate with members, educate them on available benefits, and help overcome barriers to care.Key Responsibilities:
- Member Outreach: Make outbound and receive inbound calls to schedule doctor appointments, assist with Health Needs Screenings, and help members make payments for enhanced benefits.
- Education & Influence: Educate members on the importance of using enhanced benefits and preferred providers, and provide guidance on the appropriate use of Emergency Departments for non-emergent conditions.
- Barrier Removal: Identify and address obstacles that may prevent members from completing screenings, obtaining services, or securing enhanced benefits.
- Member Profile Review: Prior to each call, review member profiles to identify potential opportunities, including additional benefits the member may be eligible for.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to meet and exceed department and company goals. Adjust strategies based on call data and member feedback to increase effectiveness.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Review and analyze data from call reports to make necessary adjustments in approach for improved member engagement.
- Collaborative Support: Serve as a secondary resource for Member Services or Provider Services call centers as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of sales experience, preferably in a call center or high-pressure sales environment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, especially when engaging with members regarding medical needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and other software programs.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Call center experience.
- Experience in a medical setting or knowledge of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with Genesys or similar dialer systems.
- Call Conversions: 20% meets expectations, 30% exceeds expectations (appointments scheduled during successful calls).
- Quality Audits: Maintain 92% or higher on quality audits.
- Call Volume: 1000 or more calls per month.
- Health Risk Assessments (HRAs): Complete 68 or more HRAs per month.
- Care Gap Assessments: Complete 200 or more care gap assessments per month.
- Schedule Adherence: Maintain 90% or higher adherence to scheduled work hours.
- Remote Engagement: Consistent engagement as demonstrated in Cloud Dialer Power BI report.
- Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time (Monday to Friday).
- Overtime: Not required.
- Duration: 90 days with the potential for extension.
