BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Automation Test Developer

for an opportunity at Eagan, MN-Location!

Position Title: Automation Test Developer

Location: Eagan, MN

Anticipated Start Date: 02/10/2025

Expected Duration: 6+ Months

Job Type: Full Time (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY) - CONTRACT - Remote

Pay Range: $45/hr - $55/hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Key responsibilities:
Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test processes for functional, regression, API, and load testing.
• Develop reusable automated tests within existing frameworks and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
• Set up database connections to validate back-end data during testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to optimize test coverage and address testing needs.
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation and troubleshoot complex validation issues.
• Lead risk-based testing efforts and coach technical teams on tools, processes, and best practices.
• Advance the quality of software delivery by driving testing approaches, automation strategies, and process improvements.

Required Skills:
Candidates must meet one of the following options:

Option 1:

• 5+ years of experience testing one or more of the following:
• Mobile applications
• Web applications
• 2+ years of experience creating automated tests integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• 2+ years of experience creating automated API tests.

Option 2:

• 5+ years of experience testing RPA automations built with tools such as:
• UiPath
• Automation Anywhere
• Blue Prism
• Microsoft Power Automate
• WorkFusion

Desired Skills:

• Experience testing RPA automations built with UiPath.
• Experience testing mobile and web applications.
• Experience testing applications built using Azure or GCP cloud technologies.

Knowledge & Competencies:

• Proven knowledge in computer programming languages.
• Strong understanding of systems and data processing policies, practices, and procedures.
• Thorough understanding of systems analysis and design techniques and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency in analyzing complex applications, programming complex systems, and problem-solving.
• Understanding of project management concepts and techniques.
• Excellent decision-making, written, and verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (required).
• Six years of experience in programming and systems analysis.
