Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Hedging) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in testing trading, hedging, financial, or risk platforms; backend API/DB validation; and Playwright or Selenium automation and a proven ability to lead testing across multiple integrated systems and deliver high-quality releases in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities:

• Operate independently as a senior QA to support delivery through functional and automation testing.
• Assess existing systems and integrations to establish clarity, identify improvements, and drive stabilization.
• Estimate test effort and plan scope using test estimation techniques.
• Create and execute test plans, scripts, and scenarios.
• Collaborate with team members to build and review test cases and scripts.
• Log, track, and drive defects through resolution with clear reporting.
• Support UAT and Go-Live activities and provide test sign-off.
• Leverage Test Data Management for identifying and consuming data.
• Apply QA&E processes and innovate test approaches under tight timelines.
• Facilitate testing meetings, summarize results, maintain metrics, and provide go/no-go recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience supporting trading, hedging, financial, or risk management systems.
• Proven ability to lead testing across programs with multiple integrated systems.
• Strong automation with Playwright or Selenium.
• Hands-on backend testing including API and database validation.
• Ability to create and execute complex SQL queries; good knowledge of Snowflake.
• Experience across SaaS, COTS, and custom-built platforms and delivery models.
• Experience with Azure DevOps or comparable test management tools.
• Ability to use AI for testing purposes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with minimal guidance.

Preferred Skills:

• Domain knowledge in commodities, energy, or financial risk a plus.
• Prior experience facilitating UAT and production cutovers.
