Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Application Architect III to join our Market Risk Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, React.js, SQL, and UNIX shell scripting, and a proven ability to deliver resilient applications for risk reporting, analytics, and production support.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain next-generation Python and React.js applications for Market Risk.
• Understand and document end-to-end application processes across risk workflows.
• Support initiatives spanning regulatory reporting, VaR analysis, limit management, and issuer/counterparty risk.
• Collaborate with QA and support groups to adhere to release procedures.
• Partner with business analysts during UAT and provide UAT support.
• Work with production support during release cycles and provide post-release support.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong React.js and Python development experience.
• Python multithreading, ORM libraries, and web frameworks such as Django or Flask.
• UNIX programming and shell scripting proficiency.
• SQL expertise with relational databases such as Sybase or Oracle.
• Strong unit testing and debugging skills.
• Proficient with code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
• Experience working with Agile tools including Jira.
• Experience level: Senior developer in application development or risk technology.

Preferred Skills:

• Background in market risk domains, including regulatory reporting and VaR.
• Experience with big data processing, administration, and reporting solutions.
