BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Product Manager for a remote opportunity.

Position Title: Product Manager

Location: Remote

Anticipated Start Date: 9/10/2024

Expected Duration: Fulltime

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Pay Range: $45/hr. - $50/hr.

Job Description:

Exciting fully remote, contract to hire opportunity with a global client looking for a Sr. Product Manager. The ideal candidate will be strategically driven, analytical and motivated and come from a Payments, Fintech, Financial services or Telecom background. Alternatively, a background in user experience research with a focus on digital products (mobile apps, responsive web design) is preferred.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provides technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects.
- Deliver against and support the vision, strategy and roadmap for assigned products(s) or digital platforms
- Work alongside the business, architects, business analysts, developers, product managers, visual designers, and/or user experience teams to document new high level requirements, acceptance criteria, determine ROI, prioritize and design services and products our customers and colleagues love, or facilitate and lead ethnographic, active participant, and remote user research.
- Communicate the products' vision and outcomes or captured user research across the organization to ensure awareness and to leverage support required
- Proactively engage with all areas of the organization to identify interdependencies or define user methodologies and processes as it applies to various products and apply problem solving skills to resolve conflicting priorities and complex challenges.
- Collaborate with all areas of the organization to deliver user research to appropriate stakeholders or products to the market, prioritizing new features, enhancements or bug fixes accordingly as a result of feedback received both internally and externally
- Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

- Degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- MBA or Master's degree a plus

EXPERIENCE:
- 8+ years of Product Ownership experience in the Payments, Fintech, Financial Services or Telecoms-Media-Technology industries;

OR

- 5+ years of user experience research, focusing on interactive digital products (native mobile apps, responsive web, enterprise applications) preferred.
- Experience working in Scrum/ Agile environment, writing EPIC/User Stories, backlog management, agile ceremonies, managing issues/risks and other related disciplines to enable effective delivery
- Working with stakeholders to scope new product features
- Strong abilities to document clear product requirements (user stories) and their value or in-depth understanding of both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

- Able to manage third-party integrations, including gathering and agreeing on requirements
- Experience researching and gathering feedback from target markets, customers and users (e.g. through competitive analysis, usability studies interviews, tests, etc.), determining viability of the product and driving efforts to measure, learn, refine and/or pivot product development direction accordingly
- A strong foundation of user-centered design principles, and a solid grasp of contemporary trends in both web and application design.

- Managing project financials from inception through to post completion financial reviews
- Experience in working across geographies and time zones with occasional early morning or late-evening calls.

Minimum Required:
- Proven track record in successfully managing initiatives and delivering high quality products to internal and external customers
- Excellent communicator (i.e. manage stakeholders at all levels verbally and through documentation professionally and diplomatically)
- Able to influence stakeholders at a senior level
- Attention to detail, focused and solution driven with the willingness and ability to implement innovative ideas and improve working methodologies
- Ability to empathize with the end user
- Understanding of both digital customer experience flows and technical flows between APIs etc
- Knowledge of quantitative data creation and analysis
- Demonstrated problem solver and ability to think creatively
- Highly energetic, self-starter with initiative, drive and tenacity; the successful candidate may be working remotely from their line manager and her/his peers
- Able to plan effectively and hit targets
- Ability to forecast spend, monitor and stick to budgets
- Excellent command of the English language.
