Job Description

We are seeking a Test Software Engineer, AR Prototypes to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, Linux environments, and Android debugging and a proven ability to build tooling, troubleshoot prototype devices, and diagnose full-stack issues.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot Android and Linux-based prototype devices using ADB, serial consoles, and log analysis.
• Build Python tooling to support calibration, integration testing, and device bring-up workflows.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and systems engineers to diagnose issues across the full stack.
• Work hands-on with physical hardware to validate and resolve defects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience or equivalent projects/internships.
• Python scripting for automation and basic data processing.
• Experience with Linux environments, including command line, SSH, and basic system administration.
• Willingness to work hands-on with physical hardware.
• Strong debugging instincts with focus on root-cause analysis.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Android devices, including ADB, logcat, and shell commands.
• Familiarity with 6DoF robots.
• Experience with modern C++.
• Background with VR/AR devices or embedded systems.
• Version control experience with Git, Buck, or Mercurial.
