CAD Technician/ Engineering Document Control Assistant
* Creation and editing of 2D/3D drawings using the latest release of AutoCAD.
* Support drafting work involving Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Process drawings.
* Proactively interact with CAD and Document Control staff, clients and contractors relating to drafting orders assigned to them.
* Perform CAD Standards conformance checks for project drawing transmittals and interact with AE vendors to resolve file issues.
* Perform field verification of floor plans and furniture plans.
* Perform all associated administrative functions related to drafting activities and Electronic Data Management System within the Genentech Drafting Order process.
Job Requirements:
* Computer Aided Design Drafting Certificate, Engineering Drafting Degree, and/or Bachelors degree in related field (Mechanical, Architectural or Electrical Engineering) preferred.
* Experience in engineering drafting or design.
* Highly proficient in the use of latest AutoCAD software and working knowledge of Revit software
* Working knowledge of Revit software
* Knowledge of GMP documentation principles and change control procedures is preferred.
* Perform field verification of floor plans and furniture plans* Ability to operate large scale plotters and copiers for drawings.
* Familiarity with all aspects of CAD systems and Engineering document control proceedings.
* Ability to work well with others in a positive and collaborative manner.
* Able to manage difficult customers, tight timelines and stressful work environments with positive outcomes.
* Excellent communication and time management skills.
* Open, flexible, honest, and collaborative teaming skills.
* Ability to deal with rapidly changing organizational issues and anticipate customer demand.
* Detail, process, and metrics-driven to achieve goals.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Flexible. Able to multitask and set priorities to meet project goals and deadlines.
* 3 to 5 years of Architectural and mechanical drafting experience is preferred Benefits

Location: South San Francisco, CA 94080

Job Type: [FULL TIME (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY)/ [TEMP], [On-site]
Pay Range: $35/Hr - $40/HrPlease note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
