BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Jr Developer for an opportunity in Reston, VA

Position Title: Jr Developer

Location: Reston, VA

Anticipated Start Date: 06/09/2025

Expected Duration: 6+ months contract with strong possibility of extension

Job Type: [FULL TIME (>%3D40 HRS WEEKLY) [CONTRACT], [HYBRID]

Pay Range: $27.59/hr. - $28.40/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description:

Leads development efforts to design, develop and implement target state cloud-based technologies across the enterprise. Work with the stakeholders and other enterprise developers to formulate plans and solutions that support the enterprise goals, implement efficient end-to-end processes and leverage use of existing IT assets. Align strategic goals and objectives with key business and IT initiatives. Work to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, industry standard techniques and best practices.

Skills:

• Proficiency with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using agile methodologies
• Solid knowledge of the programming language(s), application server, compute, database server and/or architecture of the system being developed
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud development and associated service
• Solid understanding of current programming languages and employs any/all these languages to solve the business needs of FNM's internal customers
• Knowledge of one or more of the following languages/services: Python, SQL, Glue ETL, ECS, EMR, Lambda, Redshift, DMS, SQS/SNS, Postgres RDS, S3, Oracle and Java.
• Knowledge of Test Automation tools and best practices

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field
• Professional certification(s) desired
• 1-2 years of related experience in their specific area and
• Financial services experience a plus
