Pay Rate: $36/hr. on W2
Job Summary:
Genentech is seeking a creative, proactive, and results-driven Communication & Engagement Specialist to support internal marketing and communication efforts within the Informatics department. This role will be responsible for managing executive communications, maintaining the gWiz portal, organizing marketing initiatives, and providing logistical support for events and branding. The successful candidate will also support site-wide communication strategies, create visually engaging content, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute various initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Communications: Collaborate with Domain and Chapter Leads to develop key messaging for internal and external communications.
- gWiz Portal Management: Maintain and update the iGNE gWiz portal with relevant information.
- Marketing Initiatives: Oversee surveys, email campaigns (using Mailchimp), reminder emails, digital posters, and signage.
- Event Coordination: Manage logistics for offsite events, including planning and coordination of resources and communication materials.
- Branding & Communications: Organize and distribute branding packages; draft and design communication materials.
- Graphic Design: Create aesthetically pleasing presentations, digital signage, and other marketing materials.
- Logistical Support: Provide administrative and operational support as needed across multiple projects and initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in marketing and communications or a related field. General office experience of at least 5 years is required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Google Suite, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Knowledge of presentation tools and basic spreadsheet functions. Experience with content management systems, email platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), and graphic design tools is a plus.
- Languages: Ability to communicate fluently in English; additional language skills are a plus.
