BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Application Programmer V opportunity in Plano, TX-Jersey City NJ

Position Title: Application Programmer V/Java/Angular Developer

Location: Plano, TX and Jersey City NJ

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 12 months Contract

Job Type: FULL TIME, CONTRACT, HYBRID

Pay Range: $65/hr -$68/hr

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due the factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Job Description

• The candidate would be an accomplished developer who would define, build and test the solution often working on multiple projects/work-streams at the same time.
• Work closely with business partners in defining requirements and ensuring acceptance criteria is met for application changes.
• In-depth knowledge of development tools and languages is a must.
• Individual contributor role.
• Ability to partner with the multiple Technology teams to implement the target architecture and migration to strategic platform.
• Attention to detail is key and should mentor new team members.
• Candidate is expected to take responsibility in owning and managing the end to end technical delivery of all the projects.
• Candidate will drive implementation of Key Features using Lean Agile methodology

  Required Skills

• 7+ years' experience with Java with Strong core java skills including multi-threading, collections API, JDBC
• Knowledge of Java profiling tools
• Angular, Spring framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Test Framework, Spring Restful services, Transaction Management, Spring Annotations
• Knowledge of performance tuning of data intensive applications
• Strong coding, debugging, and analytical skills
• Creative individual with a track record of working on and implementing innovative tech based solutions
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Software development using Agile methodology and processes
• Self-starter, organized, versatile and capable of performing work with minimal management oversight
• Ability to work in a highly visible and fast-paced environment where business needs/priorities may change
• Operates with a sense of urgency and ownership
• Knowledge of Hadoop, Big Data technologies Prior experience in supporting lines of businesses Prior development or infrastructure support experience
• Background in enterprise stress testing Knowledge of cloud computing or distributed computing
• Enjoys working in a collaborative, matrixed environment.
• Strong organizational skills
