Pay Rate $66.39hr on W2.
Need: Minimum of 8 years of progressive IT experience, including 4+ years designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure, configuring/troubleshooting Windows and UNIX/Linux environments, and managing legacy/current server systems (e.g., Exchange Server 2003-2016, Windows Server 2003-2016, MSCE).

Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in infrastructure automation, configuration management, and cloud provisioning. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with tools such as Puppet, Terraform, and scripting languages to help scale and maintain our cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
This role plays a key part in designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise-grade technology solutions that drive efficiency, reliability, and scalability across our IT environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure Automation:
  Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform across multiple environments, ensuring consistency, scalability, and security.
• Configuration Management:
  Develop and manage system configurations using Puppet for deployment, updates, and maintenance of infrastructure components.
• CI/CD Pipeline Automation:
  Automate application deployment pipelines and system provisioning processes to support rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Collaboration & Integration:
  Work closely with software engineering, QA, and IT teams to ensure infrastructure supports scalable, secure, and high-performing applications.
• System Reliability & Security:
  Monitor, optimize, and enhance the performance, availability, and security of production and non-production systems.
• Documentation & Standards:
  Create and maintain comprehensive documentation and standards for infrastructure automation, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Modernization Initiatives:
  Lead infrastructure modernization efforts, including cloud migration, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and virtualization strategies.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship:
  Provide technical leadership within the DevOps team and mentor junior engineers on best practices and emerging technologies.

Primary Purpose:
To design, implement, and support enterprise-level technology solutions that enable efficient, secure, and scalable operations. This includes driving infrastructure lifecycle management, capacity planning, architectural improvements, and vendor integrations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and maintain production and non-production environments with minimal supervision.
• Lead infrastructure lifecycle management and capacity planning across the organization.
• Drive standardization and architectural enhancements, including selection of networking infrastructure, hardware, monitoring tools, and application platforms.
• Provide Level 3 technical support on-site or remotely as needed.
• Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities.
• Support remote access solutions, including VPNs, Terminal Services, Citrix, and Hyper-V.
• Design, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

• Support organizational quality initiatives and compliance programs.
• Travel may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Relevant technical certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Puppet, Terraform, CompTIA, Microsoft) are strongly encouraged.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 years of progressive IT experience , including at least 4 years in:
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise infrastructure
  • Configuring and troubleshooting Windows and UNIX/Linux environments
  • Managing and monitoring legacy and current server infrastructure (e.g., Exchange Server 2003-2016, Windows Server 2003-2016, MSCE)

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong expertise in cloud platforms , preferably Microsoft Azure
• In-depth knowledge of virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., Hyper-V, vSphere, Citrix, Docker)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (OSI model, TCP/IP)
• Proficiency in VPN troubleshooting and configuration (Cisco, Palo Alto, OpenVPN, IPSec)
• Experience with security technologies , including anti-virus, anti-spam, and endpoint protection tools
• Familiarity with Exchange Server and Microsoft Server infrastructures
