Job Description
We are seeking a Trade Support Specialist, Loan Trading Documentation to join our dynamic team in the Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) Middle Office. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in loan operations, documentation review, and communication with internal and external stakeholders and a proven ability to coordinate and settle primary syndicated loan assignments accurately and on time.
Responsibilities:
- Work with front office, clients, counsel, and operations to settle primary assignments.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and counterparts.
- Manage a heavy trade portfolio across multiple lines of business while maintaining a clean ageing profile.
- Review LSTA standard documents and other legal documentation.
- Review Credit Agreements with focus on assignability language.
- Identify and escalate issues to front office, in-house legal counsel, and management when necessary.
- Prepare daily and weekly MIS reporting to track open items and measure risk.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for client and internal correspondence.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and prioritize workload.
- Ability to take initiative, self-motivate, and collaborate as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with loan-based software such as LoanIQ and ClearPar.
- Experience with Onboarding and Know Your Customer processes.
- Familiarity with syndicated loans.
- Prior knowledge of loan products or trading operations.
Additional Role Details:
- Work schedule is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with occasional overtime based on volume.
- Onsite presence required five days per week.
- Interview process: one panel round via Zoom with hiring manager and peer manager.
