Job Description

We are seeking a Digital Asset Librarian to manage, streamline, and optimize digital content created for and by the client. This role will enable brand consistency and messaging through asset updates and reinforcement of brand guidelines to provide a single source of truth for digital content and a more consistent user experience for all audiences. The engagement is expected to start early to mid-April and run for four months.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete internal client DAM training to understand systems, taxonomy, and metadata tagging requirements.
  • Migrate assets by batching and downloading images from external sites, renaming per client naming conventions, resizing as needed, uploading, tagging metadata, and publishing in the DAM.
  • Collaborate with the librarian team to confirm project scope, requirements, and obtain support as needed.
  • Maintain the project tracker and provide regular updates to the Senior Librarian and Marketing Operations Manager.
  • Manage content in the DAM platform outside of the primary migration as needed, including asset uploads, collection maintenance, taxonomy management, metadata tagging, asset aggregation, and search/indexing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Library & Information Science or a combination of relevant education, experience, and training.
  • 1-3 years of digital asset management experience with an enterprise-level DAM, taxonomy management, and metadata tagging.
  • Knowledge of file formats and specifications across still, video, social, 3D, and web content.
  • Solid knowledge of web publishing, content management systems, and Digital Rights Management best practices and standards.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with pet product, food, and/or retail taxonomies.
  • Experience with Sitecore DAM.
  • Background in content migration, brand acquisitions, or brand divestitures.
