Member Risk Adjustment Coordinator I
Position Title: Member Risk Adjustment Coordinator I (Remote) Locations: REMOTE - IN (EST)
Anticipated Start Date: 11/25
Expected Duration: 12 Months
Job Type: Contract with possible extension
Shift: 8am-5pm EST (lunch noon-1pm), No OT required
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr on W2
Need: Previous EMR experience and provider services experience.
Job Description:
Position Purpose: Schedule appointments, gather medical histories and updated member and provider information in support of member outreach and claims reimbursement.
Basic focus of staff is to get medical records from provider offices and hospitals for a large project as quickly as possible
Download records from various EMR systems
Calling provider offices and Medical Record offices to retrieve information for requesting medical records
Training for internal systems will be provided
Metrics will be provided during training. Different metrics for each step of the process (EMR Downloads, Claims research, Provider calls)
Required Skills/Experience:
EMR Experience
Basic Microsoft Excel and Basic Microsoft Word
Flexible with workload and can adapt to daily changes
Preferred Skills/ Experience:
Customer Service and great Communication Skills
Quick learner
Knowledgeable of Technology
Software Skills Required: Excel, Word, Microsoft Office
Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 0-2+ years of customer service or medical office experience. Experience with preserved medical record retrieval systems preferred. Billing or coding experience preferred. Beginner level Excel skills.
Responsibilities:
* Assist members with scheduling office visits with primary care provider.
* Retrieves charts from electronic medical record systems and compile medical records to send to other parties for coding.
* Requests medical records by making outbound phone calls to provider groups.
* Completes supplemental medical records requests using Excel files.
* Assist with providing updated member and provider information to vendors.
* Directs medical record requests to the responsible party.
* Resolves outstanding vendor pends within a timely manner by updating member and provider demographics and working with chart load issues.
* Ensure follow up on member appointments or other tasks designated.
* Assist with ad hoc requests.
